Looking to acquite a Flat Top receiver. With the build I would like to put some kind of optic and a fixed sight for backup. Who makes the best Fixed or Flipup sight? Thanks Batchman |
For a rear flip up BUIS, I like the TROY and for a fixed BUIS, I like the LaRue Tactical BUIS. C4 www.gandrtactical.com |

We highly suggest you take a look at the NEW A.R.M.S 40L -Mounting Solutions Plus

Thanks guys: I checked out the ARMS #40 and #40L. I can not see alot of difference between either one. Just what is the difference? I have decided on a Flat top receiver with the M4 Handgards with an Eotech that uses AA batteries. Will this setup interfere with the Flipup BUIS? Do i need a mount that raises up the Eotech? Thanks again |
The difference betwee the #40 and the #40L is that the #40L has a lower profile and doesn't have the cut horizon line. A flip up BUIS will not interfere with the operation of the EOTech. You don't need a mount for your EOTech to co-witness, but it makes a world of difference! The LaRue Tactical EOTech mount raises the EOTech up so that the bottom of the 65MOA outer circle clears the front sight tower. It also gives you a 100% repeat zero and a mounting platform for either a PVS-14 or the magnification system (when it comes out) from EOTech... C4 www.gandrtactical.com LaRue Tactical EOTech mount

Co-witness mean different things to different people. Basically to co-witness means that you can use your irons though the optic (no need to remove the optic to see your irons). |

If the LaRue mount only raises the Eotech up about .275. How much vertical movement do you have before you run out of CoWitness? I can definitely see a plus for having Cowitness. If optics go down and there is not enough time to remove it you still need a way to shoot. Thanks again for all the informaiton |
About the height of the GG&G Fire or ARMS #38 will put the EOTech up to high. C4 |

Slightly off topic, but mentioned in passing. With this new magnified attachment for the Eotech, isn't it going to also magnify the retical image the same amount? Like if it's 3X won't that make the center dot 3MOA and the outer ring 195MOA? Seems like it would have to, with it interposed between the sight and your eye. ![]() Lonny |
