I recently acquired a Trijicon Reflex  in a trade...it's the NSN model drom the SOPMOD kit.  I'm not very fond of it, and I haven't seen any in use in my unit.  The dot just washes out too easy.  I was wondering if the polarizing filter is that effective to stop the dot from disappearing in bright light.  I'm gonna stick it on an old shotgun and see how it works out on there for 3 gun and stuff.

thanks

Didn't seem to help mine any.

For the record mine sits atop a Choate folding stocked Ruger 10-22. With 30 round mags it makes for a fun set up. Sure the Reflex is worth twice the rifle it's on, but like you it had to go somewhere.

You can turn the polarizing filter all the way up until it is completely black and you effectively have an occluded eye gunsight; but if you zeroed through the Reflex using your dominant eye, your zero will shift dramatically.
