| I just received my 552F a few days ago. I've never looked through an Eotech before until I bought this one. My question is..even at the lower setting the ring bleeds outwards with jagged spikes (like a sunburst effect). Is this normal? I thought the Rev. F has improved battery life and sharper edges? The entire circle and dot is jagged and the circle doesn't seem to have a solid line going around. Any info would be appreciated and if someone could post a pic of their 552F reticle/dot I'd greatly appreciated. I'd sure hate to be the one to get a defective one after waiting 3 months for it and then waiting forever to have Eotech service/replace it while they are busy filling contract orders. Any info, comments, experiences would be appreciated! [email protected] Stan |
Thanks C4..I can breath a sigh of relief now and thanks for the compliments. Stan |
Mine looks like that if I have my reading glasses on. Otherwise, as long as I am focused downrange, the circle is not too fuzzy at or below the default brightness level. For the 1 moa dot, I have to crank the brightness down a click or two. Go to a wal mart and look at a Bushnell Holo-Sight. It's the same thing. you can see for yourself if you should be concerned. The EOTech is a different type of technology and we should not be surprised to see something that doesn't conform to the old style fixed reticle or even the aimpoint style dot. The center dot is clear as a bell when using the correct sighting method. The outer ring can appear to be fuzzy or pixelated if you are focusing on it. I STILL can't decide which optic I like better.....
