I just bought a NSN ACOG and wanted to find out how much Trijicon charges to refill the Tritium lamp inside the scope when it begins to fade. Also at what distance should I sight in the scope? My guess would be 100 yds. |

How you should actually zero will depend on what rifle you have it mounted on. If you have it mounted on the flat top of a 14.5" barreled M4, yeah, top cross hair is your 100 meter zero. Trijicon will replace the tritium for you when it fades in about 12 or 13 years or so. I think the cost was like right around $300? I know I used to know the correct price. I cant remember now |

If it is $300 it is not worth it. The illumination, even dim, works at night, I have a very old one that is a lot dimmer than my brothers new ACOG, and I have done a little shooting at night, but it was successful on 300m targets. (they were silouetted against the sky on a hill though.) True night without silouetteing against the sky, would be almost impossible if you ask me. The sight is very clear and bright but if you can't see the target with your eyes, how do you expect to with the scope? It's good for about 1-2hours after sunset. |

I just asked Trijicon two weeks ago about changing the ACOG NSN to full red illumination like the TA01 model instead of the center yellow/white illumination. The cost is $250 and it's about 3-6 weeks wait. That was something I look to get done before I found a TA31 Reply email from Trijicon:
