Anyone have any experience with this?

It looks like a good idea.  Just ordered two for my ARs and the price from DSA is the best I've found.  Comments?

Thanks!

I have an Olympic A1 9mm upper and I was going to get one of these sight posts to see how they would be for close range accuracy.  I have a cheapo 4X20 carry handle mounted scope on it right now, but that is way overmagnified for the short effective range of the 9mm.

Thanks for the info.

They may be okay for accuracy shooting, but the little wires are way too fine to pick up quickly, so they are poor for fast, close-in work.

I sell a lot of these and for CQB I just use the hood to center the target in.

Also we have added a new line of front sight posts in the A2 style that are finer at the top of the sight.  They measure .052 and .034 and are square posts.  I like the finer one for carbines as the sight is closer to the eye but the finer one is also good for precise long range.

Thanks everyone for the input.  I ordered two like the pic from Dennys with the heavy duplex as I hoped it would be easier to pick up quickly....we'll see.

Cheers!
