Looking at getting a used Aimpoint 3000. It is silver, about 6" long, and has a serial number. There are 10 clicks on the intensity/on-off knob. It has the Aimpoint logo beneath the battery tube with the words "made in Sweden." Searched Google but found nothing on this scope. The guy wants $50 bucks for it. I'm thinking this is either a fake or a very old Aimpoint. Anybody have any knowledge of this scope? Panzer Out |

Quoted: The 3000 is now discontinued but was available fairly recently. I have one on my Mini-14. Works fine. Go here... http://www.aimpoint.com/ then click on discontinued items. $50 seems like a good price. YMMV DFB Thanks for the info, MisterSkippy. The model 3000 at the Aimpoint website is black and longer than the one I am looking at, but it is probably the same technology in a different package. Panzer Out |

Quoted: A working 3000 for $50.00 is a good thing. Dave S A very good thing. I kind of thought the same thing, DaveS, so I went back and bought it. I don't think the guy knew what he had because I offered him $35 and he took it. Went straight to Radio Shack and picked up a lithium battery for it. She lit right up! Panzer Out |

Quoted: can you do a picture? Gotta love those kinds of deals. It also came with matching weaver scope rings and a funky looking pistol scope mount.
