OK, here's the situation. On my last M4 rifle I had my Aimpoint ML2 mounted in a railgrabber with spacer. Now I am in the process of putting together an upper package for an incoming rifle. I bought a new Colt LE6921 M4 flattop upper and want to use my existing ARMS#40 BUIS and Aimpoint ML2 on it. I want to co-witness my irons as well.

I am wanting to step up to the ARMS #22M68. One of these days I may get an ARMS #45 SIR as well. In the meantime, I'd like to use the ARMS #22M68 that extends out over the delta ring to get me as far forward as possible on my standard flattop. Is this extension part of the mount, or is it a spacer? Does it have a name/number? What spacers will I need (if any) if/when I go to the ARMS #45 SIR? Thanks.

A.R.M.S. # 22M68 Cantilever Extension is the one you want.  It will put the M68 over the delta ring.

Thanks. Is the extension a separate part from the #22M68, or are two different versions of the mount offered?

The #22M68 is the ring and base, with no spacer.

You need to additionally order the #22M68EXT, which is the full-height cantilever spacer.

ARMS also makes a full-height and half-height straight spacer, but you won't need them for either of your applications.  When you eventually get a SIR, you'll simply remove the cantilever spacer and use the #22M68 without it.  This modularity is a HUGE plus for the #22M68 over other mounts.
