Ive read in a couple of threads about the reflex II and how their reticles will washout under certain light conditions is this true for the ACOG with BAC.
    thanks

No.  It is unlikely to happen with a BAC scope.  The reticle gets brighter from the BAC feeding light in as the surroundings get brighter.  I guess you could get into a situation where you are in darkness and the target is brightly illuminated.  The BAC wouldn't help much in that situation, but the reticle would appear black, plus you have the tritium illuminated aiming point.  In general an ACOG BAC scope is a terrific way to go.  IMHO  the ACOG reflex is not.  I used to have one and no longer do.  The washout thing does happen with the ACOG reflex.  Watch-Six

The ACOG BAC system has a etched in reticle, so you will never have a wash out problem.

Some users (Forest) have reported washout under some conditions.

I'm currently shooting with an Aimpoint, but haven't had a chance to use it at night. Still looking for a TA44R-2 or a TA45R-2 to try out[:D]

Unlike the Reflex, the ACOGs have etched reticles - so even if the lighting fails entirely, you'll still see a black reticle.

However, some have reported problems when the reticle is barely lit by the tritium and pointing at a brighter area. In this situation, the reticle isn't entirely black and because the target is in a bright area, there is poor contrast.

So far I have only seen it reported with the amber reticles.

This can happen with a red reticle and a Surefire light too - you can easily lose the small black reticle if the target area is varied (like in a building) and you switch on your 125 lumen weaponlight.  It is still there, but you may have to hunt for it.
