can you see anything through them at night or low light conditions?  I am thinking about buying one, maybe OKO or ATN, or Hakko MK-II.  I want it to shoot hogs with at night, but have never looked through one in low light conditions.  Also has anyone had problems with the front sight base or post being in the way of the dot when sighting one in?  Its going on a ar15 flattop?  thanks

While these sights work well in low light, the're not so great at night.

You should not have any problem with the front sight post being a distraction.

Dot type sights are better at night than irons, but a decent scope is better still (like an ACOG or ELCAN)

Front sight?  Sorry I'm too busy looking at the target & reticule to notice...

Tritium illuminated Reflex sights are poor performers in less than broad daylight or the dead of night with night adapted eyes.  At dawn, dusk, and moving between lighted and dark areas they're unsatisfactory.

A LED illuminated sight like the M68 CCO (Aimpoint) has none of these disadvantages and works well in all light conditions.

17 year old eyes will have less difficulty with the Reflex than 40 year old eyes, trust me on this one!  [;)]
