Sorry if this has been asked I am new to this sight.  My question is since we have a big thread of all the ACOG sight pictures can we start one with all the M2's setups.  I am clueless on what spacer and sleeve and buis or if I want to use my carry handle or flat top.  Thanks in advance.

Here's an Eagle Arms pre-ban with a Comp-M (M-68)

edited to add:
The mount is the one Aimpoint sells with the spacer to raise the M-68 into alignment with the irons.

No... I want to see what the sight picture looks like.  I want to see where the dot is with all the different setups and if the iron sights are on the dot or lower stuff like that.

This is the ARMS # 16A for Aimpoint.  It's the only mount I know of that will facilitate an Aimpoint in a carry handle.

its sligtly higher than an aimpoint on a Flattop/sir, but its a great 1 piece design, other designs, like the ARMS #2 and their #22M68 will add cost and height.

The ARMS # 22M68 sits on a #38 Swan Sleeve, and a SIR, and a KAC RAS 2 at the perfect ht. as is, while co-witnessing the dot w/ your sights.

The full spacer will co-witness your dot w/o a rail of any kind when the #22M68 is mounted w/ an M2 directly to the flattop.

The half spacer, I'm not sure of, to be honest, never saw a need, but others will know.

There are other Aimpoint mounts.  The ARMS cantilever/spacer is shown in the first post it will mount your sight forward and high enough to co-witness w/ the BUIS.
There's also KAC mounts, PRI and GGG moounts made for the Aimpoints but I'm not familiar w/ those so I offered what I could.

Lots of luck.

Hope it helps.

/S2

Sorry for the hi-jack, but is that a 7.62x39mm lower, actually upper?
That lower looks different, the trigger guard does not look like it connects to the mag well, very nice looking though, details Frisco?

What mount are you using FRO I like how high it sets up?
Link Posted: 12/13/2003 8:27:53 PM EDT
[#13]
Speaking for FRO here, its the same mount as the one picture in the 1st reply, its an ARMS #22M68 w/ fwd spacer, it puts the sight at the right height for use w/o a rail over you receiver rail, and pushes it out forward of the upper receiver rail.

Hey legacyvet,

Welcome to ARFCOM!

If you are looking to mount an Aimpoint on your FIRSH there are several mounts available. The four you see in this thread are the most popular and probably the best of what's available.

The Aimpoint and ARMS mounts both require spacers to raise the optic into alignment with the iron sights. These mount/spacer combinations allow you to mount them directly to a flat top (with the spacer) or on an auxiliary rail (SIR or SWAN sleeve) without the spacer.

I'm pretty sure the GG&G and KAC line up without additional spacers. That limits them to mounting directly on the receiver or FIRSH. If you plant one on a SIR or SWAN sleeve it will sit too high.

I can't quote you prices since it's been a while since I bought mine but you can find lots of price/availability info in the industry forums here on ARFCOM.
