I have an ACOG TA31 and the top "tube", I believe that gives me the Donut sight, has many many small hair line cracks on the top.  Along with that, there appears to be small air pockets in the tube. The air pockets don't move, they seem to be in place but it sure seems odd-

I've had the ACOG for ~6 months and I don't recal the hair line cracks NOT being there.   Is this normal? If not, is Trijicon OK to deal with, in-terms of getting this fixed/replaced?

Thanks for your help.

It's normal and documented. No worries, it won't affect the sight at all.

The thick clear tube is just there to protect the fiber optic line underneath.  One of the downsides to making that clear tube with materials that transfer as much light as possible is that the material gets those cracks.  It doesn't hurt anything.

I know what you're saying: when I first saw mine I thought, "Oh, this is gonna drive me nuts.", me being Mr. Obssesive Compulsive and all.

Once I shot with the sucker I forgot all about the cracks 'n voids.
