I'm looking at tossing a Leupold Vari-X III 6.5-20 x 50 scope on my Varminter flattop.  My mounting will be an ARMS Extended Swan Sleeve and ARMS #22 QR 30mm rings.  What ring height (short, medium, high) would work best to bring the optic to the same height as standard irons?

#22 Med rings will be very close to the same height when you put them on an EX-length rail.  Make sure the rail is long enough to accomodate the length of your scope with correct eye relief and short enough to not contact the bell on the objective end of your scope.

Thanks, Paul.  I'm hoping the extended rail allows for good eye relief.  My canted Armalite mount is barely good enough for a Vari-X III 3.5-10x40.  Good point about the 50mm bell, sure hope it clears!
