I saw this unit in Shotgun News and I have looked at it on Trijicon's website and even sent them an email, but I cannot seem to get any clarification on one issue.

Does the cyalume insert replace some other option of the illumination or does it back up the fiber optic and tritium?

Just got a reply from Trijicon customer service.

"...the operator can activate and insert a Cyalume light stick to provide extra illumination whenever desired."

What a deal.
