Any opinions on the Aimpoint 2X optics? It would seem that a 2moa dot would be too small.

Really, really awful field-of-view. A 2X Compact ACOG is vastly superior (also vastly more expensive, but whatcha-gonna-do, eh?).

i believe the dot is the same size as the non powered models. Because of the 2x, the dot is relatively smaller than the standard, non magnified.

I believe this scope is Aimpoint's attempt at a compact ACOG. If you are looking for the speed that most people want out of the Aimpoint, this isn't it.

I've got a 2x Aimpoint I'm selling right now. It's a good scope, but the dot is small unless you crank it up to about half way. Then it becomes a good size.
