I have seen many AR's that have a red dot scope on the carry handle.I was wondering what kind of mounting system they use to achieve this? I have a bushmaster 20" A3 but I dont know if I take the carry handle off to mount on the weaver rail if the front post would be in by way.I also like how it looks on the carry handle so if someone could point me in the way of the mounting system you use to achieve this that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Matt |

Go to the web. sight www.ARMSMOUNTS.COM they have a lot of mounting options used by military and others. Red dots are usually mounted so you can see you front sight in case the battery dies, and then you release your fold down rear sight so you can use your irons thru the optic if the battery dies. If you have a flat top there is no reason to go back to the old carry handle to mount any optic, as the carry handle was removed in the first place as the carry handle put optic's up too high for most shooters.
