I am getting a SIR-C to put on my M4 upper.  I would like to stick my Aimpoint ML2 on it.  I just have a standard Aimpoint ring right now on a RRA riser (mounted on a different gun).  Is the SIR high enough to use just the aimpoint ring without a riser and still cowitness?  Or do I need a QD mount like the ARMS 22M68?

The standard Aimpoint ring will co-witness with the SIR, but it is not the ideal choice.  If the ARMS ring is bit on the high side, you should look into the new Aimpoint x-wide ring, it is a very well made unit that will co-witness perfectly on your SIR and it is only 25 dollars.

The 22M68 ARMS throw lever ring is to the mil-spec ht. for full field of view and alignment with other devices it has to work with. The other ring is a little too low and not as rugged as the #22M68 ring.
Good shootin, Jack

Would definately recommend the ARMS 22M68.  I tried the Aimpoint and wasn't impressed.
