The 511's sight reticle I just bought from SWFA is not clear and is on the fuzzy side, no matter what brightness level I put it on. I saw a pic that someone took in an earlier post and the 2d reticle is crisp and clear.

Is something wrong with this sight or am i just missing an adjustment or something.

Thanks

Rick

Try standing with your back against the wall in one of your rooms and look through the reticle display at an object on the other side of the room. Focus your eyes on the distant object and not on the sight itself.  If you hold the eotech close to your face the buttons on the sight should be blurry (out of focus to your eyes) when the reticle is crisp and clear.

If you are talking about the pictures that I took a while back, I had to actually focus the camera looking through the display and on an object about 15 feet in front of the sight. It is almost as if the 2D reticle is out in front of the sight rather than in its display.

It might also be a possibility that certain vision problems could cause the reticle to look blurry. Others will be able to say more on that. Let me know if this helps.

I agree with gvidon look at the target and don't consentrate on the reticle.  I also also keep the brightness setting al low as comfortably possible.
