[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Front sight pin not long enough???

I have a 300 Whisper (Oly 300/221 barrel) and it shoots really highwith my supersonic round: a 125gr SP going 2300fps. I can't raise the front sight pin enough to zero it at 100 yards. Are there extra long pins available?? The rear sight is a Colt removable carry handle (A2) on top of a Daniel Defense flattop.

I think Kurt's Kustom Firearms makes longer front sight posts. They may not be taller, but the threads are longer so they can be adjusted up to the max.

KKF has a forum here in the manufacuter's forum area.

I just had to order a taller front sight post to go with my ARMS #40. I ordered mine from Bushmaster. Check through this forum you should be able to find the thread. If Bushmaster sells them, I'm sure others do as well. The ones I ordered were $4.95 each.
