Hi, I need suggestions on optics for a rifle. Its for a Mini-14 Ranch rifle (cant have AR15's anymore). I dont need anything super expensive (obvious reasons). I just need something that is rugged, inexpensive (200-300 range) and wont loose zero or wander. Any experiences with different brands that fit the description would be much appreciated. Thanks. I came to the conclusion that a Burris Fullfield II, made in CO, was preferrable over the Leupold VX-II, made here in Beaverton, Oregon. I saw the Burris 3-9x40 Fullfield II for as low as $189. Many also praise the Nikon lines, although those are imports, and you may value doing what's best for the place one lives -- since you in CA are living with the results of neglect. |

Another vote for a Burris. I have a compact 4X on my M-4. And it looks great. And the looks are on the inside too. Excellent scope. Optically, I would put it up against just about anything. And they are strong as hell. Do yourself a favor, pick one up and look through it before you buy one. They have the best eye relief too. Seriously. http://www.midwayusa.com/rewriteaproduct/412636 Good price and they treat you right. Regards, Mortis... |
