Is there a standard distance for zeroing in a red dot scope or  doesn't it matter at the ranges these scopes are used? Thanks for helping a newbie.

Sight in at 50 yards, it iwll give you a point of impact of 2.5 to 3 inches difference out pass 250 yards.

Dead on at 50 will give about 3 inches high at hundred, dead on again at 250 and about 3-5 inches low at 300.

Hope this helps.
