I need a cheap spotting scope so I can see where I'm hitting at 25-100yds. I definitely don't need anything high-end, I just want something clear and I'm trying to stay below $100.

I had semi-decided on the Bushnell Refurbished Sentry in Natchez's latest catalog. Then I figured I should come here and get some opinions, since I know nothing at all about glass. I'd appreciate any advice.

It will serve you well so long as you dont shoot over 100 yards.  I have a Bushnell spotting scope myself and although its no Leupold it works for spotting .22 caliber holes to 100 but not really beyond.

I'm curious about the cheap BSA spotting scopes?  Anyone have any comments?

Awhile back I brought a nice cheap Pro-Optic 15x40 60 mm with the angled eyepiece. It came from Adorama. I'm really satisfied with it. Give a look see.

There IS NO SUCH THING as a cheap spotting scope. You are referring to a "headache makers".

Go to Walmart and pick up a Tasco 15-45X spotter for about $60.

It's clearly (no pun intended) no where near the quality of a $400 scope.  Buy it if all you want to do is look at bullet holes at 100 yards for sighting in and avoiding the walk back and forth. But for extended shooting, bird watching or star gazing, you will be extremely disappointed.

Yeah that scope should work good just for looking at holes at 100 yards. More than that distance unless you using a .308 or something bigger. It wont happen. When I shoot at 200 yards I shoot at one of those Birchwood casey shoot n see spot. Makes it easier to see thru the scope. Plus the 12 inch circle is almost exactly the same size as the bullseye for high power.
