[ARCHIVED THREAD] - armilite scope mount

I got a flattop varminter and had burris zee rings that are.5" and BM riser mount thats .5" tall,total of 1". I found good price on armilite i piece mount setup,but was told its .75" tall. I'm pretty sure that its to short. The 1" setup is very close if not on. I played with the the idea of changing spotweld(cheek welds),but still think 1" is better. Need input please.
