...Or anyone else who might know.  Will the new ARMS 40 A2 fit under an ACOG TA11 using an ARMS 19 ACOG mount?  Yes or no?

How do you know this Lee?

Yes

I found that the TA51 was just a bit too low, so I believe the #19 ACOG will fit...

This subjuct was discussed in some previous thread.  Wes test the mounts and declear the #19 is bit higher and it allow the ARMS #40 to sit comfortably under the ACOG.

I know the TA11 will fit with the ARMS 40 if it in a ARMS19 mount but I am talking about the A2 version where the small aperature is not cut.  It is taller than the regular ARMS 40.  I dont think anyone has tested that combo yet.  Also bsbg's link was to a TA01 not a TA11 the TA11 is taller and the TA01 wont fit with the A2 aperature but it will with the cut aperature.

MY TA11 IS IN THE STOCK TA51 MOUNT AT THE MOMENT. I'LL HAVE TO REMOUNT IT IN A #19-ACOG BASE AND TRY IT OUT WITH AN ARMS 340 STD. A2. THEN I'LL HAVE TO REMOUNT IT IN THE ORIGINAL TA51 BASE AND CONFIRM MY ZERO. OR KEEP IT IN THE #19-ACOG MOUNT...

IF ANYONE HAS A TA11 IN AN ARMS #19-ACOG BASE AND COULD PRECISELY MEASURE THE HEIGHT ABOVE THE RAIL OF THE BOTTOM OF THE OCULAR LENS AREA OF THE SCOPE, I COULD SIMPLY MEASURE THE HEIGHT OF THE ARMS #40 STD. A2.

Wes,

So did you ever find out if this combonation fit?

WE SENT OUR LAST ARMS #19-ACOG TO A GOOD CUSTOMER IN ITALY, "PINCO PALLA", A FEW DAYS AGO. SO WE HAVE NOTHING ON HAND WITH WHICH TO MAKE A DIRECT COMPARISON.

DO YOU HAVE A TA11 IN THE #19-ACOG MOUNT ALREADY? I CAN MEASURE THE ARMS #40 STD. A2, WHICH WE HAVE IN STOCK.

Wes:

With my TA11 on an ARMS #19ACOG over a #38EX, I am getting 1.082" from the bell end of the objective to the top of my #38 EX rail.

I would measure it myself, but my #40 is on the SIR-M equipped rifle, and my other carbines have #38s as well.

With the #38, if I was to mount the TA11 so far to the rear that it overlapped the rear sight, the rear sight still flips fully into the up position without striking the bottom of the TA11.

Hope this helps.

SF-

YES, THANKS. THAT IS THE INFO I WAS LOOKING FOR, THE 1.082" OCULAR LENS HEIGHT OF A TA11 MOUNTED IN A  #19 ACOG MOUNT ABOVE THE MOUNTING SURFACE.

THE HEIGHT OF AN ARMS #40 STD. A2 FOLDED DOWN IS EXACTLY 1.00".

SO, THE ANSWER IS, YES, THE ARMS #40 STD. A2 WILL WORK WITH THE TA11 IN AN ARMS #39-ACOG MOUNT.
