I just mounted a Aimpoint CompML2 on a Bushmaster XM15 in the scout position.  This is my first experience with a red dot scope.  Mounting was really simple as there was only one way that would work.  Anyway at the range I started at 25 yards and it was only 1 inch left.  After adjusting it was right on less than 1/2 inch groups.  I was really impressed.  I moved on to 50 yds and it was still perfect.  Then I moved on to 100 yds and I was suprised to see that I was 4-5 inches high.  I don't know much about ballistics.  Does this sound right.  Any suggestions on the best way to sight in the aimpoint.  Thanks!

Do a 36 mtr / 50 yrd zero. Offers the flattest trajectory from 15 to 225 yrds. Kicks butt just like Chuck!

My math converts 50 yards to 46 (forty six) meters.....

1.  Zero the iron sights at 50yds (IBSZ) with the sight mounted, switch off, and the covers open.

2.  Switch the sight on and move the dot to the tip of the front sight.

3.  Confirm zero shooting both eyes open at 50 yards.

If you zero at 25 yards you'll be very high at 100.  4" is not unexpected and is the reason for IBSZ.
