| i seen a tasco scope in a natchez catalog, the catalog says it was developed for the navy seals, and can withstand the .50 cal mcmillan with ease, it is a 8-40x56, tactical riflescope, and has the mil dot reticle, reg 745.00, priced to 199.90, is this a piece of monkey poop, or is it worth the gamble |

I had one that was similar, from SWFA, Inc., and sold it.....it was quite long and pretty heavy duty as far as scopes go, just didn't fit the apllication I had bought it for. I did a google search and came up with a site on which the guy showed an AR-50 firing with this scope mounted on top. He was basically giving it a big huge endorsement......it's not the same one as the Natchez scope, but close. Check out SWFA -- it's 299.99 for the Custom Shop one I'm talking about. The one that the SEAL's may use is most likely the TASCO Super Sniper.... Ed |
The scope is made in Japan. I ordered mine online from Natchez and got it for $174.99. It is a really nice scope for the money. I showed it to my FFL and he said that it was a very good buy. You did well. Others paid much more. |
