I am going to start shooting some hi-power matches here and was wondering where the best deals were for ten round mags are. Thanks for any help.

What's wrong with straight 20s?  NHMTG, Brownell's, etc...

for High Power competition,  with AR-15, only straight 20's and curved 30's are permitted in service rifle category, can be metal or plastic I think.

BY FAR straight 20 GI aluminum are best, mostly cuz they fit the hand perfectly during reload

if you shoot match rifle, there might be a desire to use a shorter mag like a 10rd.

While NRA has both service rifle and match rifle categories in matches, I think CMP (at least at Perry, and also LEG matches) is service rifle only.

Shoot good

I don't know anything about match rules.

However, I do have some 10 round D&H mags with Magpul followers that work great for bench/range mags.

Eagle Armory (in the Industry section) has a good deal on them but they are out of stock right now.

I just picked up a few more from 44MAG, a site sponsor.  They were about a dollar more per mag than Eagle but I was buying other stuff anyway and just tagged them onto the order.  44MAG has them in stock.

Well, sort of.  Short magazines are also allowed because some competitors are from/in ban states.

But yes, straight 20s are by far the most popular because they are so handy.

Also, some brands make 10 rounders that are 20 length for those of us in the oppressed zone.
It helps with the offhand too.
