I hate you. Who made them? I see tan followers of the new Centers. There was a mix of O-Kay's, Brownell's, etc. I haven't inspected all of them. Being NIB, I've already stored them - managed to get 82 i(still in their boxes) into a 20mm ammo can with some dessicant. /SS |

believe it or not, I got two, sixty count boxes of mags (new and unfired) once for a bottle of Jack Daniels per box. When it comes to mags, I seem to have a rabbits foot up my ass. ![]() I've got the Ex-Lax Where you at? I'll wait for that rabbit's foot Nice score!
I got ~40 used but good condition mags once for $100 and thought I did good. |
| Something doesn't seem right here. Anybody who owns that many mags legitimately knows how many he has. He would at least have known within 5-10 mags how many he had, as well as had some remote idea what they were worth. I'm thinking you just bought someone's stolen mags. |
| My neighbors think I am a nut job. They neither hunt nor fish, nor shoot anything. I therefore feel the need to do enough for all of them! Good score man. FWIW, I'm not all torqued up that your a dealer in stolen property either. One never knows how these things work out. LMAO 9080 |

Quoted: Somebody with 108 mags in boxes knows he paid between $7 and $12 each in the last 5 years. I'm sure an adult who knows how to work the zipper can multiply.Quoted: Why was this guy selling them so cheap? Are they hot or did he just get convicted of a felony? Either they're stolen or he came to his senses and realized that nobody in their right mind needs a 108 magazines.... He got them in trade, or the OP needs to hide his dog. jmho. |

Knowing the "gun people" that I do, I would'nt assume these were stolen, at least not based on what the OP has stated. There have been plenty of times me and my friends have discovered shit that we didnt even know we had, even things not very old (1-2 years). When my grandfather died a couple of years ago, my uncle and my father were going through his house and discovered a couple of garands with a few clips of ammo in a crate at the bottom of the floor-to-ceiling pile of shit in his basement. We never even knew he owned a gun, period. |

I see your point, but I'm thinking big/recent and forgotten, all at the same time, don't smell right in this instance. Like I said, seller could have gotten them in trade or as collateral. otoh, I was wrong once before. It could happen again. |

Sometimes good luck finds you and it is not worth over thinking it.
I had two instances of very good luck. Co-worker going through a nasty divorce sold me a pre-ban Colt A2 Sporter for $600. Another instance was a next door neighbor who had serious criminal charges pending against him, sold me a 1K round case of XM193 and about 30 mags for $100. In both instances, they were facing hefty legal bills. |

He had a 12 gauge damascus double and a very rusty 1918 BAR, I came to find out (unfortunately years later) a friend in the Sioux Falls PD had given it to him in WW2 and it had sat in the closet unmaintained since. The Sioux Falls PD got their BAR back
