So today I was going through some old crap in my dad's shop. I ran across a olive drab belt with a few small pouches on it. In one of the pouches I found a 5 rd Colt AR15 magazine.
I never even knew that they made 5 rd magazines. Any idea where this would have came from? |

Back in the late 80's I bought a Colt AR-15 and it came with One 5 round Mag and One 20 round mag. I guess it was to make the rifle compliant with cetain States. This actually started as early as 1964 when SP1s were introduced. Each came with a 20 and a 5, which was simply a 20 with a block inside shaped like a "U". |

I believe it had the internal U block so it would be legal for hunting where a 5 round max capacity was required. |

Is it a short stumpy little mag with a metal floorplate the above with a large plastic base (shipped with "civilian" rifles during the ban) or a 20rd mag with an internal adapter? (shipped with "civilian" rifles BEFORE the ban)
