The "dust cover" will not stay inplace when the magazine is loaded?

Loaded as in "in the magazine well" or loaded as in "20 rounds in the mag and magazine not in the mag well"?

Did you count the number of rounds in the magazine?
I stuffed 31 rounds in a 30 round pmag and had the same problem.

op , I HAVE HAD THE SAME PROUBLEM FROM TIME To TIME ON SEVERAL OF MY PMAGS BOTH 20, AND 30  rounders . I think the covers just get a little tweaked , and might have problems holding on at the little notch down there . I ordered some replacement covers , and they were GTG .  FWIW , I have almost 300 pmags , about 50 I have opened and used , I have had only 3 that had issues with the covers not holding on to good .

IMHO , don't sweat the small stuff  HOW MANY HERE CAN SAY THEY HAVE HAD FEED LIP  failures because they did not use there covers when there mags were loaded over a long period of time ?

I have a 20 round mag that has the same issue. Magpul sent me a 3 pack of new covers and this did NOT fix the problem. I haven't decided is the problem is worth sending the mag in for replacement.

IMO it's not.  I have PMags that have been loaded for a couple years they're fine.
