Hey guys. I brought a couple CProducts 10 round mags to the range today and something seems iffy with one of them. It is super tight in the receiver and I have to pull it pretty damn hard to get it out. I bought two of them, and the other one is fine, falls freely and fits right. I tried it in a few other lowers and it's the same shit. Is this just how it is when you have to buy the shitty 10 rounders? Has anybody had similar problems with their stuff?

In before the haters....All my CP mags (40+) are GTG.

E-mail Larry. He'll fix you up right.

Hater here

Don't care for them. Rock River rifle came with 1 and I just threw it away. That's what I think of them.

I have 10 or so (30 rds) and have had zero issues. Magpul followers and they are good to go for me.

I've had that problem with used magazines (all my magazines are used). My buddy showed me once what he does. He steps on them, gently but he steps on them.

Contact Larry he'll swap you a new magazine

I don't have any 10-rounders, but I have some CP 30-rounders and two of their 40-rounders.  Haven't had any problems.  I've heard good things about their customer service.  Like said above, contact Larry and he'll probably shoot you a new mag at no charge.

yeah I have 4x 30 round C/product mags that are marked LE/Mil Only. 2x of them fit pretty tight.
Im not sure if I wanna give em up since they're kind of like collector items..

What makes them collectors items? The fact that they fit??????????

I use CProd mags exclusively. No 10 rnd ones but 20 and 30 and I have not one, single solitary problem with any of them.

I have a cp 10 rd mag, and it's a snugger fit than my pmags, but it's not a chore to load or unload

Just let the C-Product's Rep in the Industry section know about your problem and he will fix it for you.

I have a few (8-10) They all work but some are a tight fit and some you cant load with the bolt closed. I just pay the extra 1-2 $ now and get P-mags.

I use their 6.8 mags. Could not be happier. I'm sure every manufacturer makes a bad one now and then. The difference is this is one that will make it right.

Both the 5.56 and the 6.8mm curved magazines I have work like champs and go in and out just fine.

Looks like you just happened to get a bum one this time.  Send it back and they will make it right by you.

if anyone has issues with one, contact CProd and they'll fix it. A+ company IMHO. I don't think I've read a story where someone had an issue that wasn't taken care of.

That was my point. All of mine work, and if they didn't Larry would fix the issue.

I never tried their 10 rounders. But I do have a bunch of CP 30 rounders with MP followers and they all work flawlessly.

Have the exact same issue with one I picked up today, on another one I bought the front of the mag was too tall and the tips of the rounds were hitting the mag body and not stripping out of the mag.  Nothing a file couldnt fix.  Sounds like theyll take care of this one for me, this makes 2 of 10 C Products mags Ive had problems with

Bought 2 10 rounders not to long ago and none of them have any fitment issues. Both fall free from the gun and feed fine.

Get em fixed Instructions:  Step 1. throw them in trash can, step 2. Buy another brand (such as NHMTG) that works, becarefull I once bought some ar stoners (cproducts makes them)  Its not worth the halse to mail off a few mags that don't work and you may mail them more than once.  Go to 44mag and get D&H or NHMTG.

All of my aluminum C Product mags have proven reliable, but I have occasional issues with their stainless 30 rounders.

There is no one in the industry who will do you right like Larry.  He will swap you untill you have perfect mags.  I have 6 CProducts SS in my ready to go bag, they all work flawlessly with numerous loadings.  The only change I made to these was a Ranger plate so I can grab quickly.

Does he cover the "swapping" postage.

Last night i took 2 of my older cproducts mags (20 rndrs) i got this last july and bent the feed lips up a little so the 308 rounds would angle slightly up. They were hitting low on my feed ramp. We'll see if that works... i got 2 new cproducts 20rnd from POF that they say worked and i have 2 old ones that fed questionably into the chamber. I also have 2 pmags and a dpms 20 rnd that i haven't tried yet either. Trying the whole rifle out, again, in a couple weeks. It's cold and there's no where to shoot here in Mpls for cheap.

I got a single c-products mag with my AR, a 30 round mag pinned to 5 to satisfy the stupid rifle magazine limitation laws here in Canada.   I have never been able to shoot 5 rounds out of it without it miss-feeding a round resulting in the bullet being pushed back into the case.   I have a mixture of Brownels and RRA mags (5/30's and 10 round LAR Pistol Mags) and all of them function flawlessly.

The c-products mag seats fine, is spotlessly clean inside (because its never used), it just dont want to feed rounds.   I always assumed it was because the mag follower was different than all my other mags.   The followers in those have a semi-curcular offset on the top, whilst the c-products mag is squarer (if that makes sense).

EDIT:
Ignore the above comment, just looked at my RRA mags and the followers in these have the squarer follower, although the profile and cut-outs are different)
END EDIT:

The problem up here is that to change the follower (or clean the mag properly) you would have to remove the pins or punch cuts that restrict the mags to 5 rounds, and that would be illegal!  Bummer
