Sorry if this belongs somewhere else.
Anyone have trouble with Pmags or any of the other plastic mags fitting in the magwell? I have a student with a new DPMS and none of the plastic mags will fit into the magwell. well they fit,but they are very tight. Looks like a front to back rather than a side to side tight. Metal mags work fine. |

I just went through this with a new DPMS Panther AP4. I bought a Tangodown mag for the first time, and it would not fit at all. All of my Magpuls fit, HK's, and metal GI mags fit fine also. Not sure, but me thinks the lower on the DPMS are leaning towards the tight side on tolerances. The gun functions flawlessly, and is the most accurate AR I have owned, but that mag well is tight for sure. I guess if it bothered you too badly, you could always use it as an excuse like me to buy a top of the notch lower receiver of your choice. By the way, what is a good lower out there these days that you guys like. Anyone else got any ideas of these tight magwells, and what the reason would be for having them that way?
