Are those 90-round snail drums any good?  Anyone with personal experience?

Since I shoot lefty I'm not concerned about the snail drum crowding my shooting stance (will be on the outside for me).

I got mine back in the late 80's because I saw one on miami vice and had to have one
they look fragile but I used mine quite a bit and dropped it a few times loaded and unloaded in the dirt and other than scratching up the body/clear back it hasnt taken a crap on me and I have put a few "k" through it and I dont remember it ever have feed problems...
now it sits in the gun room as a cool novelty,I would recommend buying P Mags with the $$$ instead or maybe a CMMG 40rd mag and some P mags
IMHO/YMMV/just my 2 cents

Already got my share (and a few extra) of PMags.  Just thinking of something cool that is also functional.

I liked mine because I could single stack 34rds of .50 beowulf in it.

It functioned perfectly.

I never used it with 5.56 though.
