I have 9 or so 30 round Pmags and the are all rev. M mags. I just recieved three  20 round Pmags from Palmetto state Armory (good deal too) and I noticed that there are no rev. markings on them....Have the never been revised or are they just not marked? I will check fit and function when i get them to the house...Anyone out there have any issues with them.....(the 30's work very well)

This.
I've got a 20 round PMag... It is OK. I like the 30s more. The 20 seems to have a bit of a problem with cartridge retention... The 2nd cartridge likes to kind of slip up to even with the first...

It only does that without the cap, and outside of the rifle... USGI 20s do it also.

My 20 round P-Mags have been rock solid. I've got a pile of 20s and 30s... I still prefer the 20's just for the ease of prone shooting, but I trust all the P-Mags I've got.

I've heard of no plans for a 20 round revision... Don't know if one is needed.

The biggest difference I could see was the ability to store the dust cover on the bottom of the mag... but thats about useless when it matters. I only use the dust covers to store loaded mags.  My load-out gear is full of P-Mags now, both 20s and 30s and the dust covers are safely at home in a bag for when I rotate those mags out for others I have stored and loaded.

I resurected this thread durring a search. Has any one else had issues with 69 grain match hanging up in these mags? I measured the COAL and its correct but the nose of the bullet rubs and hangs up on the front of the mag body.

I load the match bullets and have no problem. COAL is COAL be it match bullets or M193

I don't have any functional problems with the 20 round straight PMAGs but would like to see them textured like the new M revision 30 round PMAGs in the future..

I like the M look and grip better but it isn't a big deal.

I fired several hundred rounds through all  of my mags (pmags) and they all  functioned well. I did notice that the 30 rounders with the dust cover on the bottom worked well in a chest rig..sort of a poor man's ranger plate....

What's a clip?

What's a clip?

It's that thing that holds bullets for easy insertion into a mag.

Are clips banned in certain states?  As the "clip" post implied?

guess I needed to add this:

I've got the older Magpul PMag 20's, from around Nov '08.  I don't have one handy by my desk to verify the mold date right now.  The mags work great in everything but my brand new Spikes multi-cal lower.  They just wont drop free, empty or loaded.  They work fine in my Essential Arms and Bushhamster lowers, and my new rev Magpul PMag 30's work fine in everything.  Just a few minutes with a mill  file on the top 2 inches of the front center seam of the older 20's and they're GTG.

Edited for clarity

Pmag 20s drop free in my Stag and LMT lowers.  Worked fine in my Bushmaster lowers.  No problems with my Pmag 20s.
