Running a first generation one here in Iraq. I'd seen them in the past, but wasn't interested. The folks at Magpul Dynamics with their first DVD showed me just how fast you can be with one.
No problems, just have to make sure the release is kept lubed for a while until it breaks in ( in case you are in really dry, hot, sandy climates like here ). The disadvantage is that is does add a lot of weight. Its cool because in condition 3 FOBs/COPs you can have two mags with you at all times, at minimum. Then again, you have a choice because you don't HAVE to run two mags in at all times. Make sure you get the bolt catch extension with it. Currently cutting mine down ( lightening cuts ) by HAND. Holy hell its a PITA. S/F |
