| Ordered my mags Jan28 2 SSteel 20 round and messaged Larry on this site to add another 20 rounder (all 5.56) order number 6795 and got them today exactly as ordered 2/25/09. Havent shot with them yet but have cycled them and they look and seem to work great. Thanks Larry for changing my order and getting them to me. Will do business in future. |

Why do so many people get a kick out of bashing Larry of Cproducts? It is well known that all other manufacturers of aftermarket AR mags (USA, National, KKK, Western, ProMag etc.) make nothing but junk designed to separate the shooter from his money. By contrast, my limited experience with Cproducts indicates that they make a quality product at a reasonable price. My main range workers are Cproducts curved aluminum twenties. If human waves were coming down my street, I'd grab them and load them up without hesitation.
You hear "Oh, I had a problem with some of their mags," well, shoot enough and you'll have problems with other people's, too. What you don't hear is "I had a problem and Larry told me to f**k off, or ignored my calls and emails, or laughed at me and hung up." No, most of the opinions seem to be that if you have a problem, he'll fix it. You hear, "Oh, CP has no military contract." So? Buy some Okay or Centers, good mags certainly, but suppose you have a bad one, you think Mr. Center and Mr. Okay are going to replace it? About a third of centers I try, won't fit my magwell. But Cproducts (and every ogher mfr.) will. Maybe USGI Centers are on the large side of in-spec, but CP's are right in the middle in my experience. I think Larry should be commended for making a product that is (1) good value for shooters, (2) good enough to be OEM for serious AR manufacturers, and (3) has not had the price jacked up post-election. I just wish he'd make a good Mini-14 mag. |
