What do you use to store mags and carry them to the range? Would like something to hold at least 8-10. Maybe something army surplus. Any ideas? Thanks

British M58 rig...

It is solid... made of really thick canvas.

As you can see... it has some big shoulder pads that distribute the weight nicely. The two ammo pouches in the front I gigantic. You can easily, yet snugly, fit 4 PMags in each pouch. One pouch has a pocket for a cleaning kit, which I keep hearing protection in. The other pouch has a bayonet frog. The double butt-pack is great for carrying extra ammo, lunch, water, gloves, etc.

There is even a bed roll thing... which I don't use.

I generally throw a few in my range bag (Dillon, IIRC) along with a bandoleer and load them off the stripper clips.

This weekend I learned that Wolf Military Classic won't load off a stripper clip.

Thanks for the info. After shopping around, I ordered 2 of these:

What do you think? Seemed like a reasonable price and holds up to 12 mags.

Doesn't seem to bad.... based on your review, I may get one myself.
