I've had 3 National mags since Christmas 2007.  When I tried to use them they seemed to double feed and the AR jammed.  I also have a couple C-Products that do not jam.  I noticed on the Nationals that bolt seems to want to scrape on one side of the ears.  Also I noticed that there is no backing to the lips on the the National brand.  The National follower is green.  Other than tossing them anybody have any ideas on salvaging

Crush them and take it as a life lesson learned.

Replace the mag bodies, springs and followers.
The floorplates may be okay.

Other than tossing them anybody have any ideas on salvaging


screw one to a nice piece of oak and make a nifty display stand for your AR

You could keep one to use as a lower vise block for working on ar's.

Love this forum.  Where else could you get such GREAT opinions.   I'll give the stand bit a try but the others will go.  Shame as they were Christmas presents.  Boy is my son in law going to be ticked .  I have more on order with C-Products.  Slow to come but worth the wait.

I saw some at the local gunshop the other day.  $24.95.  They actually looked well made but I know better.  I have a few that I received in a trade and use them with my M261 mag inserts.  I had to really work on them to fit my rifle's magazine well.

Great Idea.

If you sell them to somebody knowing they dont work  you are ripping them off
