Why are .22 magazines so much more expensive than 5.56 magazines? For gods sake, there is a dealer on the EE selling pairs of Ciener metal mags for $120!!! $60 a magazine!! WTF????

I would presume that it is because of the lower production and higher complexity.  I can't see why anyone would buy anything other then the Black Dog full-size ones for $30 tho.

Ceiner charges what he does because he can get away with it.  His 30 rd mags have been at $59 for a while, so the EE seller is not gouging, he's just passing it on.

BTW, the BDM mags are $26 or so a couple of places:

I intend to but $30/mag is still more than twice what a PMag costs

I keep saying $26, but no one listens.

At $14, PMAGs are still overpriced, IMHO.

The BDM mags are a more complex design and have a more limited potential market.  That all ads up to a higher market price.

Edited because I can't type for $%*#

Bah, its nothing like, say, a German so-so quality mag (at best) that is 500% more expensive then a truly reliable USGI mag because it has two letters stamped on it...
