[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Bad AR15 Magazines?

There are many magazine makers out there for my AR15, But which ones would you not use because of the quality of their product. I just want to know who to avoid and only buy good ones.

Anything that has a brand name of National

i hear that the "USA" brand are the worst.

Off the top of my head:
ProMag, Western, National.

Ramline, Eagle, Western, USA.

In USGI type, I would not use Cooper unless

(1) The front and back seams each have at least 6 spotwelds. (Bad Coopers have only 3 spots on front seam, 3 on back seam).

(b) I personally have installed new spring and green follower (or better).

Edit... I left out Orlite. I would not use Orlite, either.
