| anyone try to cut out the groove on pro mags for the # of rounds indicator. i mean the $4 price difference adds up after a while |
You read my mind

I couldn't think a better example to demonstrate what not to do! As far as the advice provided so far, they're your mags, do what you want. Let us know how they function after a couple of trips to the range. I'd be interested to see how much crap from inside your range bag finds it's way into the cutouts. |
i heard you can make a good still out of one of those. |
| not sure that would be an issue they were dropped in the mud and shoveled sand with them... if you are going to do it post pics... and I would consider breaking down the mags to clean out any crap that the hole does aquire... oh and I wouldnt try the chevy test after you cut in to it... |
and.............that pistol mag is fully encased by the pistol grip of the handgun, so foreign debris wont get in as easily as an exposed carbine/rifle mag. Make sense? If you think people on here dont have a life then why are you posting? BTW i have 4 kids, a wife, and 2 jobs. I have a life. People enjoy this forum. Get used to it. |
yes its encased by the pistol when you use it but not when they are in the range bag which is where someone said it would pick up debris. its a mag not like your cuttin up a lower receiver try one use it for a month or so and see if there are any issues if you screwed it up your out 1 mag and you know the 3 dollars is worth it for future reference. |
| not sure 1/8" holes would help much the way the sring is marked if the orange line wasnt at one of the holes it wouldnt tell you much unless you could still see bullet cases? you could tell if you had a certain range of rounds (<10, 10-15, 15-20) I guess depending on hole placement. |
