I'm having a problem with 3 of my older PMAGs.  The covers will not stay locked down on a full magaizne.  The cover will pop up with the slightest touch or pressure on them, therefore allowing the rounds to rest against the feedlips. Not good.

I have a 4th (the newest of the bunch) that the cover almost has to be pried off, but it locks down good and tight. This is good in that when the mags a jostled around in the range bag or ammo the cover doesn't pop loose.

Anyone know where to order replacement covers?

I would just contact Magpul - with the way they handle things odds are very good they will hook you up for free.

From what I understand, the covers are a "just in case" measure, as they still have not found out if the feed lips will spread. I hear that 7KOPPER has had a fully loaded mag on his desk for quite some time just to see if this will be an issue over time.

But in regard to your mags, that shouldn't happen. I'm sure if you contact them they will take care of you. I have had nothing but the best service from them.

The old covers don't stay latched on the newer bodies as well, but the new covers w/ current bodies are on very secure.  Magpul will take care of ya no problem-o.

I wish that were true.  I have newer bodies with newer covers and with 30 rounds in the mags, the covers just barely stay on.  The slightest bump will pop them off.

I've got a dozen pmags, and they all stay on tight as a drum.
