Ordered both 30 and 20rnd premium rebuild kits from .44mag The 20 rnd kits look identical to the 30's only with a shorter spring. Looking at my old 20's, the floor plates are different, they have the small slot cut in them for the latch to catch. I dont see how the floor plates can be interchangeable. Also it looks tough to install the gen2 follower in a 20 rnd mag because of the same latch built into the mag body. BTW all my 20's are striaght body. Did I get hosed on these kits or an I missing something here?

Bingo! |
| yeah, thats what I figured. GD. Oh well, can I at least use the new spring in the straight body mags? I will use the floor plates and gen2 follwers to refurbish some older 30 rnd range mags. Is there an upgrade to the alloy followers? Or can I at least polish off the corrosion caused by sand and moisture? |
No- they are still the best ones made--just clean them up. |
| If the Magpul Gen II followers came with your kit, those are made for their curved 20 round magazines and not the straight. I wish they would put that in their site becauce I ordered 2, 20 round kits for my Colt straight mags to find out later that it won't work for those. |
