Also, the Ranger Plates and original Magpuls offer some protection from damage when dropping a magazine and letting it fall free.

Also when I do a tactical reload and slam in the mag it is less painful on my old arthritic hands.

Also, the Ranger Plates "Lock" into place making the chance of a floor plate inadvertently coming off a "Non-Issue". (Not sure it ever was, but what the hell...it's a better mousetrap!)
