of full mags. Im sure this has been covered, but enlighten me. Is it wise to change the mags over to the "long term storage springs" I kept mine full for 6 months in bosnia, with the exception of a couple layouts, they stayed full. Any help, Hive? |
| A 20mm ammo can works very well. IIRC (mine is in a storage locker at the moment) you can squeeze 6 rows of 6 upright standing mags nearly flush, with room to stack a few things on top of the mags. It may rub the finish a tad in such close proximity, but WTF. Loaded 30s can stay loaded without supervision/ammo changes, etc. I wouldn't fool with the springs unless you are replacing old springs AND want the added assurance for SHTF. |
