I recently took part in an AR15 operator course at a small place called Blackwater.  During the course I rotated through 20 or so mags without any issues. During a course the following week I noticed that of the 20+ mags I ran the previous week, 5 had suddenly developed problems.  One mag would not fall free at all.  The only way to get it out of the rifle was to can ththe weapon to the side and jerk the mag out of the weapon.  The other 4 mags would drop partilly out of the rifle, but hang up on the rear of the mag and wound up hanging out of the rifle at a 45 degree angle, suspended at the rear of the mag well.  Any thoughts on what might have occurred?

myself, i'd check to see if the mag latch needed adjustment.......  if that's not it, i'd start to look at the mags for splits and damage from a week of  "playtime".....lol.....  splits/cracks at the rear of the mag lips will cause the exact proplem you describe..good luck!

I already adjusted the mag release, that waasn't the issue.  I'll go back and look closer at thefeed lips and welds to see if something happened there.

Thanks
