But the ones with the green followers (that are pre-ban legal) were only made between 92-94, and those were the first ones people grabbed up after the ban. The vast majority of Centers (and other brands of pre-ban mags) came with the older black followers. I always *assume* that GF Center mags are post-ban, restricted mags until I can prove otherwise. Center is unique in that they failed to add the "Restricted..." warning to their mags until 2001, even though it was legally required since 9/13/94. So, there are lots of dishonest mag vendors who will sell post-ban-dated Center mags as "pre-bans", even though they aren't. ALL Center mags are stamped with Center's CAGE code, and a month/year production date, that looks like this: 6P199 10/94 Anything stamped 10/94 or later is restricted, meaning they're illegal to possess unless you are an LEO, in the military, or work for a government agency, and they are authorized for duty use. -Troy |
