I recently picked up a Colt 20rd with an Alum. follower. Is this original?? All the ones I have seen are plastic.

Anyone know where to buy Alum. followers? Have several 20 rd. mags with cut followers.. Why? The mags have an alum. bar in the body to prevent blanks and live ammo being loaded into the mag.
