I recently came across a picture of a red 30rd magazine, I know its an Isreali who is using it, but have never seen any of these and can't  seem to find any info about them. Would anyone know anything about these? I have a picture I can send you if you need, but its small.

Could it have been orange?  Thermold made some in a VERY day-glo version for blanks.

I guess I could possibly be orange, but if its for blanks why would an israeli soldier be using it, Looks like hes ready to shoot some palistenian kids...... LOL  I could send you the picture if you give me your email so you can look at it.

They are probably painted to enhance visibility.  Perhaps visible mags in the rifles of the boarder guards is Israel's way of telling the Pal's that they're serious.  Or, it could be to identify the high-powered blanks for the less-than-lethal rounds they use.

Here at the Air Guard all the training mags have to be spray painted red, they used to be painted blue. I don't really know why they call them a training mag as we carry 120 rounds of live ammo every day on post at the base for the M16, 30 rounds for the Beretta (the clips aren't painted any color).
