Is it acceptable to leave 30 rd. mags fully loaded for weeks or would this decrease spring tension from being fully compressed for long periods of time?[:\]

You can leave them loaded for years without worries.  Springs weaken from constant use (loading and unloading) not from being compressed.

Do a search on this site and you will find many threads on this topic. Modern quality mags
( not USA or Western brands ) should have no problem being loaded for years. A metalurgist replied on one of the posts that it it is either repeated cycling of the mag spring over a long period of time that would weaken the spring, or overloading the mag ( 31 rounds ). Many people have different opinions of this but a clasic example is Police Depts. Most of the mags are constantly loaded for many years and they usually don't have a problem. I know a local agency that has kept the same M16 and M14 mags fully loaded for 20+ years. They look like crap from the beating they take in the trunks of the units but they work great.
