I see lots of mags advertised as ten round capacities that look like 30 rounders. Are these really a just an item that can easily be converted to 30 rounders or twenty to get around the stupid liberal bans? I'm a new owner and trying to figure out this pre and post ban stuff.

Don't buy any from e-bay. They're over priced. Use the equipment exchange here. I've bought several mags from many different guys here and have always gotten good stuff at what to me was a good price.

How about what Cabela's is selling? I had already ordered some from them before I found this site?

Cancel the order, immediately, if not sooner, and buy USGI 20 & 30 rd pre-ban mags, after reading mag FAQ.

This is what Cabella's is selling:

Western Magazines
These Magazines are manufactured in the United States using the latest equipment and tooling. All magazine bodies are constructed of high-quality carbon steel and feature glass-filled, self-lubricating polymer followers. Magazine springs fashioned from high carbon music wire for extra tensile strength. Each coated with a great-looking, durable, black-oxide finish. All high-capacity magazines (more than 10 rounds) were manufactured prior to Sept. 14, 1994. All are warranted against defect. Any defective magazine will be replaced with new product.

Alright it's too late to cancel but I will return them That was the ad I ordered from. I'm going to order from the exchange here. Still haven't had anyone answer about the mags being sold as Ten rd'ers that look as long as 30 rd'ers. Are these easy to convert

E-Bay is so PC they won't allow anyone to sell pre-ban 20/30 rounders.  The ones the look large are already 20or 30's sonetimes referred to an 7 inches so you get the drift, winkwink!

These ARE 30 rd mags, listed as 10 rd mags to get around e-bay's policy.

I'd buy from the Equipment Exchange here.

Well I got my mag's that I had ordered from Cabela yesterday and thought I would try one out. I couldn't get the gun to cycle the bolt was dragging the top of the mag. This junk will definetly be going back tomorrow.
